Warmup

  1. Short running and warmup for legs
  2. Double leg takedowns, 1 for 1
    • Sleeve and collar control → distract and shake partner to make him put his balance on his toes, enter the double leg takedown deep, clash hands together above partners knees, partner can help with leaning forward on opponent to simulate deep entry → execute double leg takedown; slightly lift partner from the ground, half circle movement
  3. From standing position to sit-up guard, 1 for 1
    • Sleeve and collar control → enter inside and lower yourself down with one leg on hip control → continue with sit up guard sweep

Techniques

  1. Sit up guard → over-under back control → fake back take on near side to gain momentum and jump with knee between partners leg and hand on opposite side → take the back and go for a choke
  2. Sit up guard with control on lapel and grip on pants (instead of opposite side hand control)

Drills

  1. One partner stays in turtle position, other moves from one side to another quickly keeping partner down and maintaining control all the time
  2. Quick open guard pass to side knee on the belly → immediately switch to opposite side knee on the belly

Drills

  1. Long step pass to side control → establish side control well, switch the base to under armpit control and start pulling out opponents lapel → feed the lapel under opponent armpit → continuation to back control

  1. Quick open guard pass to side knee on the belly → immediately switch to opposite side knee on the belly → partner rolls to escape knee on the belly and other partner takes the back
  2. One partner stays in turtle position, other moves from one side to another quickly keeping partner down and maintaining control all the time

  1. Kaynan Duarte takedown; collar and arm control, step inside and drop in guard with one leg on opponents thai, continue to sweep and try to end on top

Techniques

  1. Modified Mario Reis drill https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=592137415353059; opponent is in open guard, grab both pants more on outside, step pass on one side (Leandro Lo style) → go back in the middle and leg drag pass on other side → lastly instead of knee cut pass - opponent shrimps and we execute pass as in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xt2h31ydf0

  3. Quick open guard pass to side knee on the belly → immediately switch to opposite side knee on the belly → partner rolls to escape knee on the belly and other partner takes the back either with pulling opponent down or jumping on other side to take the back

Pull guard in DLR with collar and sleeve control → switch to collar on opposite and pants control on DLR side → make your opponent move to gain space for entering in modified x-guard → stiff your arm that is controlling the collar, stand up over your flexed knee and shin → continue to execute the tkd
  2. Pull guard in DLR with collar and pants control → bring opponent over you by bumping him with legs and pulling the collar → opponent ballances by posting on leg that is not in DLR → grab opponents leg underneath and continue with modified single leg x-guard sweep

Drills

  1. Misc connecting techniques; guard pass to side control → fold pass transition to opposite side control → mount → transition to inverse knee on the belly → roll to take the back → control the back control with your legs
